Welcome to the Laboratory on Social Resilience Research at Université du Québec à Montréal. The laboratory team is especially interested in people's automatic and unsconscious cognitive processes that help people face social threats and social stress in their environment.

Professor Dandeneau and his students study the certain underlying cognitive processes related to self-esteem and the ways we can train better « habits of mind », that is, cognitive habits that help strengthen people's self-esteem and better overcome social stressors. They are also interested in the way people's socio-environmental and cultural contexts influence the development and implementation of their resilience processes and mechanisms.
