Adrianne Pauzé (2013)
Profoundly attracted by psychotherapy, I have been a bachelor's student in psychology since 2011. Volunteer at the Centre d'écoute et de références of UQÀM, I would eventually like to become a clinical psychologist in order to work with mentally ill patients, as well as offer a consultation service for low-income individuals who do not have access to priority and quality public treatment. I am very interested by people suffering from an eating disorder as well as all the problems related, such as anxiety, depression, addiction and borderline personality disorders. I have recently joined the team of Professor Stéphane Dandeneau, where I participate in a research studying rejection feelings and the underlying cognitive mechanisms related to attentional processes. I also work on starting a second pilot study that aims to validate the incidence of an attentional control task on the stress of dancers during an on-stage performance.

Sarah-Jeanne Viau (2011 – 2013)
Doctoral student in psychology at the Université Laval since September 2013, I obtained my bachelor's degree in psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal. My studies allowed me to take part in numerous research projects. My thesis written under the supervision of Professor Rushen Shi focused on the role of functional words and of prosody in the segmentation of syntagma by infants. I also worked in the Laboratoire de Recherche sur le Comportement Social at UQÀM where I contributed to research projects focusing on the passion towards hazard and gambling games, and on humanitarian aid. During a summer internship in Professor Martine Hébert's laboratory, I also had the chance of studying certain problematic scenarios surrounding children who have been victims of sexual abuse. I have been working in Professor Stéphane Dandeneau's laboratory since the summer of 2011 and I am currently studying with him the cognitive mechanisms that are modified during an attentional training whose goal is to identify social acceptance.

Anne Julien (2011 – 2013)
Musician with over 10 years of studies at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal in classical singing, and student in psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal, I will start in September 2013 my master and doctoral studies at Concordia University under Professor Louis Bherer. During my psychology studies, I had the opportunity to work as a research assistant in different laboratories at UQÀM. The laboratoire sur le développement social des enfants et des adolescents of Professor François Poulin allowed me to participate in the Transition project. This longitudinal study began in 2001 with 390 students in 6th grade from a dozen schools in the Laval school board. This study allows us to better understand the transitions that accompany adolescence, especially on the interpersonal level. I have also worked on a project focusing on the passion for hazard and gambling games in young and elderly people, and another one focusing on the emotional experience that accompanies the creative process, both in the laboratoire de recherche sur le comportement social of Professor Robert Vallerand. I have been working in Professor Stéphane Dandeneau's social psychology laboratory since 2011, where I am involved in the modification of the attentional bias, more precisely at the component responsible for the modification of negative cognitions. The expansion of my knowledge in research and psychology has been accomplished in concert with the development of my signing career, which is primarily oriented toward contemporary and emerging music.
